Tomato, Fig & Pumpkin Jelly by Lisa Rose Wright
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Memories to treasure
This second book in Lisa’s trilogy is as engrossing as the first. She recounts the continuing progress of the restoration of their lovely home, the expanding cultivation of their allotment, not forgetting the fun and games with their chickens and rabbits. Then there is the added excitement of a wedding to plan.
Reading was like popping back in on a couple of dear friends, sharing their everyday life with them and all their friends and family. The combination of letters home to Mum with diary entries and bits of additional commentary make for a varied read, full of enthusiasm for the life which Lisa and her partner are building together in Galicia.
This is a beautiful record of a special year and I look forward to reading the last in the trilogy, & Mother makes 3 in Galicia.
